For the few that know me well and those who have taken time to show some interest in what I'm doing with my photography you'll know that I've been up to plenty of other stuff lately. Hopefully I'll still find time to connect with the good guys out there. Thanks to everyone who takes time to have a look and anyone that has helped me along the way. It's not always about giving critique, interaction is more important if you ask me. If you've got a little time for me I've certainly got some for you. As well as snapping the regular football slots I've taken on some other stuff aside from sports and it's forced me to become a bit more up close and personal if you like with my photography. I have to think and look at things in a different way than I do normally and the interaction is another element that perhaps many don't consider. Being a good communicator has helped and I'm a fairly sociable bloke anyway as I have no problem talking to people I've just met. That said however my socialite days are few and far between and every penny I get is usually paying the next bill, buying something for the kids or making it's way to the savings account for the next family holiday. In the last few weeks alone I've covered a few charity events, cheque presentations, a family fun day and a church fair. When I started this blog to be honest I didn't think those would be the top of the list on things that I would get around to photographing so it just goes to show you never know where the journey can take you! As I say though I'm loving it as I'm hopefully learning from it all the time or at the very least thinking more about things before I click the shutter. I still have thoughts in the back of my mind about whether it's all worth it and exactly how this will all pan out long term but as long as I'm enjoying myself I guess it doesn't really matter on the grand scheme of things. No two days are the same when I go out with that camera and I'm always looking for something to capture. By the way if anyone is over on Google + take time to connect with me on there as well because great photography is in abundance and whilst it maybe doesn't have the same appeal to some as Twitter or Facebook there is no doubting the array of talent and great artists that share their work. Enjoy and keep clicking. Nick.
