Clearly you're not going to become this proficient overnight but with some of the techniques and methods in this course you'll surely be on the start of your journey and most certainly will end up producing better images over time with patience, practice, photographic technique and more practice!
At the time of writing this short review almost one thousand people have taken the opportunity to purchase this course which is testament to the quality of the content and the topics that are covered. The course itself lasts approximately 6 hours and the best part of it being hosted online via Udemy is that you can visit it at anytime and review the lectures at your own pace. There is no limit on how often you can view the videos as far as I'm aware and I presume the content will remain there indefinitely unless the servers go down. If , like me , you're a family man with wife and kids then this is the ideal course for you as no doubt you'll have a hectic lifestyle and time is never a luxury so attending school/college every week isn't exactly an enthralling prospect. Nobody really enjoys sitting in a classroom once you've ventured into the big bad world of employment - do they?
Granted I've only just finished the course so I have a long way to go before I start producing great images but some of the areas that David covers have also helped me look differently at how I would approach a potential shot and in particular how keeping things simple will work a lot better. I've also purchased another black and white photography book to help keep my focus, pardon the pun, for 2013. The teaching methods that David executes during the entire course are clear and concise and he's also extremely willing to answer any questions you may have. He also delivers the lectures in a manner and tone that keep your attention throughout, he's clearly an articulate and intelligent gentleman so boredom is definitely not in his vocabulary.
So if you're after a course that opens your eyes to the world of black and white photography and want to improve on your post processing skills as well without breaking the bank into the bargain then this is the course for you. There are way too many courses out there with prices that I don't believe can be justified in an age of austerity but that's a topic for another day.
My sincere thanks to David for producing such a valuable learning tool at an affordable cost and I wish him all the best for the future.
